This Cookie Policy explains how HALFORD SUCKS LTD, company number 14173794 (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with the Streamneeds platform, website, software and related services (the “Services”). By continuing to use Streamneeds, you acknowledge the use of cookies and related technologies as described here.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use online services. They can help a platform function correctly, remember preferences, improve user experience, and support security. Similar technologies such as browser local storage may also be used to store settings on your device.

2. How Streamneeds uses cookies

Streamneeds uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • maintain user sessions;
  • authenticate accounts;
  • remember preferences and settings;
  • support core platform functionality;
  • maintain security; and
  • detect abuse or unauthorised activity.

We keep cookie use to what is necessary to operate the Services. We do not currently use advertising, marketing or third-party web-analytics cookies (see Section 3.2).

3. Types of cookies we use

3.1 Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Services to operate. They include the NextAuth session cookie and CSRF token that keep you signed in, and identifiers used for security and platform stability. Without these cookies, parts of Streamneeds will not function.

3.2 Analytics cookies

Streamneeds does not currently load third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics). We rely on our own server-side request and activity logs for performance monitoring and abuse prevention. If we introduce an analytics provider in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, present a consent prompt before any non-essential analytics cookie is set.

3.3 Functionality cookies and local storage

We store some non-essential interface state on your device so the platform remembers your choices, including:

  • your theme preference (streamneeds-theme);
  • for moderators, the owner account you are currently managing (bh-selected-owner);
  • UI state held in browser local storage — for example your hunt-page sort, “Simple Mode” toggle, and remembered point amounts for the Guess the Balance feature.

This data is stored on your device and is used only to render the right context.

3.4 Security cookies

Security-related identifiers may be used to prevent abuse, detect suspicious activity, protect accounts and support platform integrity (for example, rate-limiting and anti-fraud identifiers).

4. Third-party cookies

Pages that include third-party features may set cookies controlled by those parties. These may include:

  • Stripe — payment forms set cookies for fraud detection;
  • Pusher — real-time connections may set a short-lived session identifier;
  • Discord and Kick — integrations you authorise are subject to those platforms’ own cookies and policies.

We do not control third-party cookies and are not responsible for third-party privacy practices. You should review the privacy and cookie policies of those providers separately.

5. Managing cookies

Most browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others) let you block, remove or adjust cookie preferences, or be notified when cookies are set. Blocking essential authentication cookies will sign you out and prevent you from using the Services. Blocking preference cookies will reset your theme and moderator-context choices on each visit.

6. International users

Streamneeds is available globally. By using the Services, you acknowledge that cookie and related information may be processed or stored internationally in connection with operation of the Services.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may modify or update this Cookie Policy at any time. Continued use of the Services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
