Extension Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the StreamNeeds Stream Companion browser extension (the “Extension”), published by HALFORD SUCKS LTD, company number 14173794 (“we”, “us”, or “our”). It explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored. It supplements our main StreamNeeds Privacy Policy, which governs the StreamNeeds website, application and related services.

1. What the Extension does

The Extension has a single purpose: to automate a streamer’s live production by reading the signed-in user’s own on-screen stream activity and relaying it to that same user’s StreamNeeds account, so their stream overlays, chat widgets and viewer-engagement tools (giveaways, guess-the-balance, polls and points) update automatically instead of by manual entry. It is a read-only broadcasting tool for streamers — comparable to an OBS plugin that reads game state. The Extension does not place bets, does not enable or facilitate any wagering, and adds no gambling functionality of its own.

2. Data the Extension accesses

When active on the user’s own casino room page, the Extension reads and relays the following, only for the room the user has configured in their StreamNeeds settings:

  • room balance, total wagered and biggest / recent wins;
  • games played, bet amounts, wins and multipliers;
  • room chat messages and the usernames and display names shown in the room;
  • player, viewer-count and tip information displayed in the room.

The Extension reads only the user’s own room — the one set in their StreamNeeds Hype.bet settings — and only while a page on the casino site is open. It does not collect casino passwords or payment details, and it never writes to or posts in the casino chat.

3. Data stored on your device

The Extension stores only a small amount of data locally on your device using the browser’s extension storage:

  • a StreamNeeds pairing key that links the Extension to your StreamNeeds account; and
  • your local Extension settings.

This local data stays on your device and is used solely to authenticate and configure the feed. The Extension does not use cookies and does not load any third-party advertising or analytics.

4. How the data is used

Data read from the room is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS) directly to your own StreamNeeds account, where it powers your live hunt, chat widgets, points features and overlays. It is used only to operate those features for you. We do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We do not use it to train third-party AI models.

5. Permissions and why they are needed

  • storage — stores your pairing key and settings locally on your device.
  • alarms — drives the one-time account-pairing poll without keeping the background worker awake.
  • scripting — re-injects the reader into an already-open casino tab after the Extension updates, so the feed resumes without a manual refresh.
  • Host access to the casino site — required to read your own room’s activity and chat.
  • Host access to streamneeds.com — required to pair the Extension and send the read data to your own StreamNeeds account.

6. Storage, retention and security

Data relayed to StreamNeeds is handled in accordance with our main Privacy Policy, including its sections on data storage, retention and security. Live chat relayed by the Extension is broadcast to your overlays and dashboard in real time and is also stored in our database as part of your StreamNeeds chat history, so you can review per-viewer chat activity and moderation context. Local Extension data is removed when you uninstall the Extension or clear it from within the Extension.

7. Your rights

You may uninstall the Extension at any time to stop all data collection. For access, correction, deletion or portability requests relating to data held in your StreamNeeds account, contact streamneeds@sucksmedia.com. The rights described in our main Privacy Policy apply equally to data collected via the Extension.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Extension Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
