This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the StreamNeeds plugin for the Stream Deck app (the “Plugin”), published by HALFORD SUCKS LTD, company number 14173794 (“we”, “us”, or “our”). It explains what data the Plugin handles, how it is used, and how it is stored. It supplements our main StreamNeeds Privacy Policy, which governs the StreamNeeds website, application and related services.
1. What the Plugin does
The Plugin lets a streamer, or a moderator they have authorised, control their own StreamNeeds account from Stream Deck keys and dials: Stream Pad buttons, clips, viewer points, overlay scenes and widgets, OBS (through the StreamNeeds OBS dock or plugin), bonus hunts, slot requests, giveaways, polls, timers, alerts and chat messages. Keys can also show live numbers from the same account, such as viewer counts or hunt totals.
2. Data the Plugin sends
- When you sign in: the name of your computer, so you can tell your devices apart on the Stream Deck page of your StreamNeeds dashboard. You approve the sign-in in your browser; the Plugin never sees your StreamNeeds password.
- When you press a key, turn a dial or edit a key: which action you chose and the settings you gave it (for example a points amount, a scene or a chat message).
The Plugin does not read your screen, keystrokes, other Stream Deck profiles, other applications or files on your computer, and contains no advertising or analytics.
3. Data stored on your device
The Stream Deck app stores, on your computer, the Plugin’s sign-in key for your StreamNeeds account and each key’s settings. Pictures shown on keys (your button images and emoji artwork from the Twemoji project, loaded from cdn.jsdelivr.net) are kept in memory only while the Plugin runs.
4. How the data is used
Data is sent over an encrypted connection (TLS) to your own StreamNeeds account and used only to carry out what you pressed and to keep your keys up to date. Live updates reach the Plugin through our real-time provider, Pusher, on a private channel that only your signed-in devices can join. We do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
5. Storage, retention and security
Data held in StreamNeeds is handled in accordance with our main Privacy Policy, including its sections on storage, retention and security. Each signed-in device appears on the Stream Deck page of your dashboard, where you can disconnect it at any time; a disconnected device’s sign-in key stops working immediately. Signing out in the Plugin deletes its sign-in key from your computer.
6. Your rights and data deletion
You can sign out from any key’s settings, disconnect devices from your dashboard, or uninstall the Plugin at any time. To access, correct, delete or export data held in your StreamNeeds account, see how to delete your data or contact streamneeds@sucksmedia.com. The rights described in our main Privacy Policy apply equally to data handled through the Plugin.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Stream Deck Plugin Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
