Bonus hunt break-even calculator

How bonus hunt break-even works

Break-even is the average multiplier your bonuses must pay to win back the balance you spent collecting them. Divide the starting balance by the total of your bets. Once you start opening, the live break-even divides what you still need by the bets left to open, so it falls after a big hit and climbs after a dead bonus.

Example: a 1,000 hunt with 20 bonuses at an average bet of 1 has a starting break-even of 50x. After 8 bonuses have paid 300, the remaining 12 need 58.33x on average to get back to 1,000.

Common questions

How do you calculate bonus hunt break-even?

Divide the starting balance by the sum of all your bonus bets. 1,000 spent on 20 bonuses at a bet of 1 is 1,000 ÷ 20 = 50x. Each bonus then needs to pay 50 times its bet, on average, for the hunt to break even.

What is the live break-even?

It is the average the bonuses you have not opened yet must pay. Take the starting balance, subtract what you have won so far, and divide by the bets still to open. It moves after every bonus.

What is a good break-even for a bonus hunt?

Lower is easier. Many slots pay around 50x to 100x on an average bonus, so a hunt under 100x has a realistic chance and one well above it needs a big hit. It depends on the slots, their volatility and the bet sizes.

Does it matter which currency I use?

No. Break-even is a multiplier, so it is the same in dollars, euros or any other currency. Use the same currency for the balance, the bets and the winnings.
