Channel point reward ideas

Thirty rewards that viewers actually redeem, each with a cost based on how many points your viewers earn an hour. Filter by type and copy the ones you like.

Short answer:Price a reward by how long a viewer should watch to afford it. A regular Twitch viewer earns about 320 points an hour, so a quick reward like Hydrate costs around 150 and a big one like VIP for a week costs over 10,000.

320 is Twitch's base rate for a watching viewer who claims the bonus chest. Subs earn more.

How the costs are worked out

Each idea has the watching time it should take to earn it: half an hour for a sip of water, a few hours for chat control, a day or more for a VIP badge. The cost is that time multiplied by the points your viewers earn an hour, then rounded to a tidy number.

Twitch gives 10 points for every 5 minutes watched and 50 for each bonus chest claimed, about 320 an hour. Subs earn more with multipliers, so raise the rate if most of your chat is subbed.

Tips for rewards that keep chat busy

Mix cheap, fast rewards that anyone can use every stream with a few expensive ones to save up for. Cooldowns stop one viewer spamming a reward, and a per-stream limit keeps rare ones rare.

Rewards that change what's on screen, like a camera angle or a loadout pick, get the most use because the whole chat sees them happen. Only add rewards you're happy to do every time.

About 320 for a viewer who watches and claims every bonus chest. Subscribers earn more: 1.2x at Tier 1, 1.4x at Tier 2 and 2x at Tier 3.

How much should a channel point reward cost?

Base it on watching time. Quick rewards around half an hour of watching, big ones a day or more. The tool works this out from your rate.
