Twitch Bits to USD calculator

Type in any number of Bits to see what the streamer is paid, what viewers paid for them, and how many Bits it takes to reach a money goal.

Short answer:Every Bit cheered pays the streamer $0.01, so 100 Bits is $1 and 10,000 Bits is $100. Viewers pay a little more (100 Bits cost $1.40 on the web); the difference stays with Twitch.

Twitch Bits to USD calculator

How much is a Bit worth?

Twitch pays Affiliates and Partners one cent for every Bit cheered in their chat. It is the same in every country and at every channel size, and it isn't split like subs are.

Viewers buy Bits in packs. Bigger packs are a little cheaper per Bit, and buying in the phone apps costs more because of app store fees. The table under the calculator shows Twitch's US web prices before tax.

Bits, subs and goals

A Tier 1 sub at the standard 50/50 split pays you about $2.50, which is the same as 250 Bits. Many streamers set Bit goals in round dollars, so the calculator also works backwards: type a goal and it tells you how many Bits that takes.

How to use it

  1. Type the number of Bits, or a goal in dollars.
  2. Read what you're paid, what viewers paid, and how many Bits the goal needs.
  3. Use the pack table to set Bit goals and alerts at amounts viewers actually buy.

Common questions

How much is 1,000 Bits in USD?

1,000 Bits pay the streamer $10. A viewer pays about $14 for them on the web, a little more in the phone apps.

Does Twitch take a cut of Bits?

The streamer always gets one cent per Bit. Twitch's share is the difference between that and what the viewer paid for the Bits.

When do Bits get paid out?

Bits are added to your monthly Twitch payout with your subs and ads, once you pass the payout minimum for your payment method.

Are Bits worth more than subs?

Per dollar the viewer spends, Bits give the streamer about 70% and a sub at 50/50 gives 50%. A sub repeats every month though, and counts towards Partner Plus.

Do Bit prices change by country?

Yes. Twitch prices Bits in local currency, and tax and app store fees are added on top. What the streamer is paid per Bit stays one cent.
