Discord PFP resizer

Drop in a picture and get your Discord profile picture and server icon, square and sharp, with a round preview of how Discord crops them.

Short answer:Make Discord profile pictures and server icons square, at least 128 × 128 px; 512 × 512 px stays sharp everywhere. Discord shows both as circles, so keep faces and logos in the middle.

Discord PFP resizer

Discord profile picture size

Discord asks for a square picture of at least 128 × 128 px and shows it as a circle at many sizes, from tiny chat avatars to your full profile. Exporting 512 × 512 keeps it crisp on every screen.

Server icons work the same way: square, shown as a circle in the server list.

Getting the crop right

The previews are round, exactly as Discord crops them. Drag the picture to centre a face or logo, and zoom in if there's too much background. The corners of a square picture are never seen.

How to use it

  1. Drop in or paste your picture.
  2. Centre it inside the round previews.
  3. Download and upload it in Discord.

Common questions

What size is a Discord profile picture?

At least 128 × 128 px, square. 512 × 512 px is a good size to upload.

What size is a Discord server icon?

Square, at least 512 × 512 px for a sharp icon.

Why does my Discord PFP look blurry?

Usually it was too small or not square. Upload a 512 × 512 square and Discord has enough pixels for every size.

Can I make an animated PFP?

Animated profile pictures need Nitro, and this resizer saves still images. Use the emote resizer for animated GIFs.

Is my picture uploaded?

No. It's resized in your browser.
