Provably fair draws
End the rigged comments for good. Every StreamNeeds giveaway and raffle draw is locked in before it happens, and anyone can check it afterwards on a public page.
Short answer:StreamNeeds draws are provably fair: before a giveaway or raffle is drawn, a secret key is committed, and after the draw the key is published so anyone can replay the draw on a public proof page and see the same winner.
How it works
When a giveaway or raffle starts, StreamNeeds locks in a secret key and shows only its fingerprint. The draw uses that key with the list of entrants. Afterwards the key is published, and the public proof page replays the draw in the viewer's own browser, so they see the same winner come out. A reroll uses a fresh key, so nobody knows in advance who a reroll will land on, including you.
Why it matters
Viewers stop entering giveaways they think are rigged. A proof link in chat and a fairness badge on your overlay show you have nothing to hide, which keeps people entering and trusting you.
How to set it up
Run a giveaway or raffle as normal.
Draw the winner.
Share the proof link from chat, Discord or your overlay.
Frequently asked questions
Is every draw fair, or only on some plans?
- Every draw is fair on every plan. Showing the proof badge and links is part of the plans that include it.
Can I choose the winner?
- No. The result is fixed before the draw, which is the point.
Can viewers check it themselves?
- Yes. The proof page replays the draw in their browser.
