Overlays, alerts and OBS

Stream alerts with Alerts Studio

Make every follow, sub, gift, tip and raid feel like a moment. Alerts Studio lets you design alerts on a timeline, set rules for when each one plays, and add one alerts link to OBS.

Short answer:Alerts Studio is the StreamNeeds alert designer and player. You build alerts with text, images, GIFs, video, sound and animation, choose rules for when each plays (amount, sub tier, a viewer, a first time), and show them in OBS through one alerts link.

What it does

Alerts are the thank-you that viewers see. Alerts Studio gives you a full designer: put text, pictures, GIFs, stickers, video and sound on a timeline and animate them in and out. Start from a ready-made pack or import a zip from pack makers like Nerd or Die.

Rules decide which alert plays: a bigger alert for a bigger tip, a special one for a tier 3 sub, a rare legendary alert that plays now and then, or one just for a certain viewer. Alerts only play while you are live, queue properly so none overlap, and can be paused, skipped or replayed from the control panel.

What you get

  • Timeline designer with text, images, GIFs, video, sound and animation
  • Rules by amount, sub tier, a specific viewer or a first time
  • Rare and legendary alerts on weighted random picks
  • Ready-made alert library and zip pack import
  • 30 days of alert history with replay, pause, skip and clear
  • Chat command alerts, timed alerts and casino win alerts

How it helps every kind of streamer

Small streamer: more engagement

When every follow gets a proper thank-you on screen, the person who followed feels seen and the rest of chat sees that following matters. It is one of the cheapest ways to make a small stream feel alive.

I want to grow

Raid alerts and first-time chatter alerts make new people welcome the moment they arrive, which is when they decide whether to stay.

I want to make more money

Bigger alerts for bigger tips and gifts give viewers a reason to go one step up. Rare legendary alerts turn every sub into a little lottery chat wants to see.

Big streamer: run it at scale

With a busy chat, alerts queue cleanly, mods can pause and skip, alert sets can be tied to certain overlays, and a chance setting stops a flood of the same alert.

How to set it up

  1. Open Alerts Studio and pick a pack or design your own alerts.

  2. Set rules for when each alert plays.

  3. Add the alerts link to OBS as a browser source and fire a test.
