How to run guess the balance on a slot stream
To run guess the balance, open guessing once your bonus hunt's collection phase ends, let each viewer submit one number for the hunt's final balance, lock guesses before the opening makes the answer obvious, and pay the closest guess when the last bonus is opened.

Open guessing at the right moment
The best time to open guesses is the moment collection ends. Everyone can now see the start balance, how many bonuses there are and what they cost, so a guess is an informed prediction rather than a shot in the dark.
Open it any earlier and the early guesses are noise; open it once the first bonuses are paying out and the room is guessing with half the answer already on screen.
Lock it before it gets easy
Close guessing after a handful of bonuses have been opened — somewhere around the first three to five on a typical 20 to 40 bonus hunt. Late guessers otherwise get a large advantage over people who guessed at the start, and the game stops feeling fair.
Pick a winning rule
Closest guess wins is the classic rule and the easiest for chat to follow. The Price-Is-Right rule is the popular alternative: any guess above the final balance is out, and the closest guess at or under the real figure wins. It rewards caution and stops viewers spamming high numbers.
- Closest wins: simplest, works for any size of chat
- Price-Is-Right: over-guessers are out, closest under wins
- Paying 2nd and 3rd place keeps more of chat invested to the end
Pay out where chat can see it
Announce the winners on stream and in chat the moment the final balance is known. Channel points are the usual prize: entering stays free, and the winner can spend them in your store, on raffle tickets or on slot requests.
Running it in StreamNeeds
Turn guess the balance on for a hunt and viewers guess with !guess in Kick chat or /guess in Discord. Every guess lands in one list you can search and sort, a Balance Guesses widget shows them on your overlay, and guessing can lock itself after a set number of bonuses.
When the hunt ends, award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with your own point amounts. A winner who has never linked an account still gets their points, because a viewer record is created for them so the award lands.
